Greater Things

John 14:12 

“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.”

The “greater things” mean miracles, signs, and wonders… but could they also mean something more? Like…

Wiping tears from a baby’s eyes

Writing a poem about the sky

Baking a birthday cake for someone

Petting a purring kitty cat

Sending a letter to a lonely aunt

Praying for someone in need

Tidying up after your family

Smiling at the grocery clerk

Giving a compliment to a friend at work

Tithing to your local church

Taking time to converse with a neighbor

Planting and tending to a garden

Being there for a friend or enemy

   These things done over time for years stacked upon years…

   I think these are also the “greater things.” 🙂
