Deep Roots

deep roots come with time

waiting is where you need to be

growing and extending in expectation

         joy comes sneakily

             as you wait

         your head clears

             as you hope

longing for fullness, for purpose,

    you see the world with wonder

           hope comes quickly 

              to those who wait

embracing time as a friend

instead of an enemy

hold close to waiting, hug hope,

    feel joy because

when your heart is fulfilled 

there you’ve found land’s end

& heaven’s beginning.
