O you who hear prayer

O you who hear prayer

You who see our weaknesses & longings

You who listen to our silent nights

You who know our neediness 

You hear these prayers

O you who hear prayer 

You who comfort us in the secret place

You who hide us in the shelter of your wings

You who see every cell of our being

You hear our prayers

O you who hear prayer

You who listen and respond 

You who send forth angels

You who are calm 

You hear our prayers 

O you who hear prayer 

You who love us so deeply, so extremely

You who give wisdom and peace in abundance 

You who know us completely 

You hear our prayers 

Come quickly, O you who hear our prayer:

See right through us

Establish homesteads of humility, 

Places of grace and patience

May we be hearers and doers of Your word

May we obey quickly & honestly 

Because we love O you who hear prayer.
