God — We release everything to you. Surrendering the pages of our lives like a much-loved book. Thank you for each of the words and events that have occurred in them. Thank you for the goodness you have yet in store. You are sovereign, Lord, over everything.

Right now, King Jesus, would you quiet our minds. Deepen our breaths. Breathe your breath on our thoughts, our hopes, our dreams, our minds. You are all we need. May that truth settle in deeply. You are our calling. You are our adventure. You are our hope. You are the One our souls long for. Oh Jesus, may our hearts be like flowers planted in the Kingdom of God: soaking up the sun, receiving all we need, trusting You for what’s to come, enjoying the nutrients You place in our roots. You are the One who quiets our hearts and invites us to trust. You teach us to look up— to consider Your ways. Fragile and frail we may be like the soft petals of a flower; powerful and strong are You, shining like the noonday sun. You are the mighty, all-powerful, loving God-King. You lean in to listen to us. And You strike our oppressors with a scepter of justice.

Holy Spirit, come move in power. You are a sure foundation. An unhurried guide. You are faithful to lead us. Diligent in all Your ways. You lead us further and further, deeper and deeper into the Heavenly Kingdom of Light and Love.

Holy Trinity, come wrap around us like a shield. Give us courage to let go of all the things we must let go of. Give us strength to stand firm in Your Truth. May we be thankful all our days. May we never let go of You. You protect us, You lead us. We need You. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.

1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Psalm 103:1-2 “Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Zephaniah 3:17He will quiet you with his love.”

John 20:22He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.'”

John 4:10, 13-14 “Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water…Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'”

Romans 8:23 “We ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.”

Matthew 6:25, 28 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life…See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.”

Psalm 84:3 “Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young—a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God.

Colossians 3:1-2 “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set you minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Psalm 76:4 “You are resplendent with light.”

Psalm 45:6 “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.”

Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
